NEWS: I will be doing an internship at Dolby this summer.

I am a PhD student in Computer Science at UC San Diego working with Prof. Julian McAuley and Prof. Taylor Berg-Kirkpatrick. My research interests lie at the intersection of music and machine learning, with a recent focus on music generation, audio synthesis and representation learning for music. Through my research, my goal is to lower the barrier of entry for music composition and democratize music creation.

Previously, I did a research internship in the R&D Division at Yamaha Corporation. Before that, I was a research assistant in the Music and AI Lab directed by Dr. Yi-Hsuan Yang at Academia Sinica. I received my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
