I am a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at University of California San Diego where I work on Music x AI research with Prof. Julian McAuley and Prof. Taylor Berg-Kirkpatrick. I am currently doing a research internship in the Audio Research Group at Adobe. My research aims to empower music creation with machine learning. I am broadly interested in music generation, audio synthesis and machine learning for music. Through my research, my goal is to lower the barrier of entry for music composition and democratize music creation.

I have collaborated with researchers at Dolby, Amazon, Sony and Yamaha through internships. Prior to my PhD, I was a research assistant at Academia Sinica working with Dr. Yi-Hsuan Yang. I received my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University and my master’s degree in Computer Science from University of California San Diego.

My research has been recognized by the ICASSP Rising Stars in Signal Processing (2023), UCSD GPSA Interdisciplinary Research Award (2023), Taiwan Government Scholarship to Study Abroad (2022), J. Yang Scholarship (2021) and UCSD ECE Department Fellowship (2019).
