I am a PhD candidate in Computer Science at UC San Diego, where I work on Music x AI research with Prof. Julian McAuley and Prof. Taylor Berg-Kirkpatrick. My research interests include music generation, audio synthesis and representation learning for music. Through my research, my goal is to lower the barrier of entry for music composition and democratize music creation.
Previously, I interned at Dolby’s Applied AI Team and Yamaha’s AI Group. Before my PhD, I was a research assistant at Academia Sinica, where I worked with Dr. Yi-Hsuan Yang in the Music and AI Lab. I received my bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University.
